Portfolio: Sculptural Objects

For many years I have used utilitarian pottery forms as the canvas for lavishly painted narratives exploring social and political themes. More recently I have focused on ewers, basins and fountains to express themes relating to the role that water plays in the creation and dissolution of the life cycle: Vapor and Dust. Man’s evolution from dry desert or lush fertile landscapes and the world views that develop in relationship to each extreme environment inform the works in this series.
